Best Mode IP Law, PLLC is an intellectual property (IP) law firm based in Austin, Texas.  We represent our clients on various IP matters including preparation and prosecution of patent applications, infringement analysis, innovation harvesting, trademark registration, competitor analysis, and more.

The name "Best Mode" is derived from a requirement in patent law known as the best mode requirement.  35 U.S.C. 112(a) states:  "The specification shall contain a written description of the invention ... and shall set forth the best mode contemplated by the inventor or joint inventor of carrying out the invention."  We provide the best mode contemplated by our service.

Yusuke regularly works with inventors located around the world to protect their innovations and advise on intellectual property issues.  He provides legal advice related to inventions for a variety of technologies including, integrated circuit packaging, MEMS, LIDAR, semiconductor processing, sensors (e.g., gas sensors, optical sensors, magnetic sensors, etc.), image processing, sound processing, acoustic wave devices and filters, 5G technologies, medical devices, batteries, and water treatment systems. He also assists clients with analyzing patent portfolio and competitor IP activities.

Yusuke has represented, for example: Adeia, AMS, Analog Devices, Appotronics, Dynabook, Skyworks, Tesla, Toshiba, Yamaha Motor, and ZTE.  (Some of these may be from previous employment.  Please contact us for any conflict concerns.) 

Yusuke has previously worked at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear, and Analog Devices, Inc.  At Knobbe Martens, Yusuke drafted and prosecuted a countless number of patent applications.  He has also assisted clients with competitor analyses and infringement analyses.  At Analog Devices, Yusuke assisted with patent prosecution efforts, pre-litigation activities, and patent portfolio management.

Yusuke enjoys riding his Moto Guzzi California in nice weather.  He also enjoys craft drinks such as craft beer, local sake, and potato shochu, with fine dine.
